Indonesia Logs 480 New Covid-19 Cases on Heroes Day

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Covid-19 Task Force reported 480 new cases of infection over the last 24 hours as of Wednesday, November 10, which is the National Heroes Day. To date, Indonesia's Covid caseload had reached 4,249,323.
The new cases were obtained from examining 299,600 specimens. This is one of the largest number of specimen tested in a day by the Indonesian government.
As of Wednesday, Indonesia has 9,537 active cases, down by 65 from the day before.
Five provinces, all on the island of Java, recorded over 50 new cases. Jakarta added 95 cases, West Java logged 77, East Java 65, Yogyakarta 59, and Central Java 58.
Provinces that did not log new cases were Bengkulu, Southeast Sulawesi, Gorontalo, West Sulawesi, and Maluku.
Today also noted the deaths of 41 more people from Covid-19. Indonesia's Covid casualty to date has reached 143,592.
The country also reported 531 new recoveries to bring the number up to 4,096,194.
