Jakarta Police Launch Hotline to Fight Illegal Online Lending

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Police have opened a special hotline for the public to deliver complaints related to illegal online lending via SMS or WhatsApp.

The National Police through its Criminal Investigation Division and Regional Police elements are launching a massive crackdown on illegal online loans, as ordered by President Joko Widodo.  

Referring to Tribratanews.polri.go.id on Thursday, October 28 2021, the Jakarta Police's Cyber Team has opened a special hotline service for victims in its jurisdiction. The hotline service is facilitated by the Jakarta Police’s Special Crime Directorate.

As written on @siberpoldametrojaya Instagram account, the police urge victims to immediately report this sort of case. Victims and people in general who are aware of the location or offices of illegal online lending, especially in the jurisdiction of the Jakarta Police, can convey the information through the hotline number.

The number is 081191-110-110, which is accessible by phone call or WhatsApp. Reports can also be made via direct message to Instagram @siberpoldametrojaya or through SMS or WhatsApp to 0812-1001-9202.
