PPKM Level 2, Parks in Jakarta Ready to Open

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Following the recent lowering of Public Mobility Restriction (PPKM) to level 2, the Government decided to open 15 Green Open Spaces (RTH) site for the public. Several parks and gardens including Ragunan Zoo will be open starting on Saturday, October 23, 2021.

The lists of the reopened RTH are, among others, Ragunan Zoo, Ayodya Park, Puring Park Langsat Park and Bumi Perkemahan Park at Pasar Minggu.

The Srengseng City Forest, Tabebuya Park, Kebagusan I Park, Swadarma Park at Pesanggrahan, Sriwijaya Park, Gandaria Tengah Park, TMB Panjang and Seed Garden Ciganjur will also be open to the public. In addition, two parks in Jagakarsa area, Spathodea Park and Seed Garden Casamora, will be opened too.

The head of South Jakarta Parks and Forest Services Winarto, said that the visitor of the RTH will be required to present their Covid-19 vaccination certificate. "Access for entrances and exits will be made one way, the staffs will direct visitors," says Winarto on Friday, October 22, 2021.

The opening of the parks in South Jakarta will be adjusted with PPKM Level 2 regulation along with the implementation of health protocol that must be obeyed by visitors. The number of visitors will also be limited to 25 percent of the parks' total capacity.

Visitors under 12-years old must be accompanied by parents who have received their Covid-19 vaccination. "At least the first dose of the vaccine," Winarto said.
