TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of Jakarta Health Agency Widyastuti on Tuesday announced additional healthcare centers in the capital city that are certified to roll out Covid-19 vaccinations using the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines. She explained that Moderna vaccine can be administered for children with minimum age of 18 years, while Pfizer for 12 years old and above.

In an attempt to accelerate herd immunity, the city administration no longer requires an official doctor’s recommendation for those who want to be vaccinated with the two coronavirus vaccine brands, except for people who are immunocompromised. "Such as, severe comorbidity, autoimmune diseases, and patients of immunosuppressant therapy,” she said on September 6.
