TEMPO.CO, Depok - The Depok Covid-19 Task Force did not update the daily case data for the past three days. Based on the city’s page for the pandemic data, ccc-19.depok.go.id, the last update of the daily cases was on Friday, August 20.
On that day, the city reported 2,866 active cases, 97,387 recoveries, and 1,999 deaths. The daily data on the hospital bed occupancy rate (BOR) was not also renewed. Its last update was on August 13.
The regional task force spokesman, Dadang Wihana, explained the late update was due to data reconciliation. “We will release the result of the data reconciliation later,” he told Tempo on Monday, August 23.
Dadang said data reconciliation was aimed at synchronizing data recorded by the regional and the central task force. There was a significant gap between the data released by the Depok task force and the central government.
Based on the West Java official page, pikobar.jabarprov.go.id on August 20, the number of active cases in the city reached 22,978, the highest number in the province. The Depok administration, meanwhile, reported only 2,866 active cases.
Meetings on the Covid-19 data reconciliation have been held since August 12, involving the Depok government, the Health Ministry, and the West Java government. It was agreed that the data synchronization should have been completed on August 17, but to date, the issue has not been resolved yet.
