TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Erick Thohir asked SOE directors to pay attention to their employees who are infected with Covid-19 and must undergo treatment. This was stated by the minister during a working visit to South Sumatra, Tuesday, August 3.
The availability of drugs and vitamins as well as proper treatment, both in hospitals and health facilities owned by state-owned companies or for patients in self-isolation, said Erick, must be met properly so that employees can recover quickly.
"Thankfully, after several visits to self-isolating SOE employees in Jakarta, I was finally able to see firsthand SOE employees in Sumatra. Listening directly to stories from those who are undergoing self-isolation, the process that is being carried out, and their complaints. I hope to alleviate a little burden and increase their enthusiasm to recover soon," said the minister in a written statement, Tuesday, August 3.
Erick Thohir also offered a solution to accelerate the second phase of vaccination, through Gotong Royong inoculation program, for SOE employees, especially in South Sumatra who are experiencing obstacles.
During the visit, the Minister of SOEs also saw the development of the two industries that hold important keys in development in the province of Sumatra and also nationally.
In Semen Baturaja, Erick monitored the progress of the factories that contributed to the construction of the Trans Sumatra toll road. Meanwhile at PT Pusri, apart from checking their readiness to support food security through the provision of quality fertilizers, Erick Thohir also witnessed the role and social responsibility of the company in providing free oxygen supply to the community and hospitals.
