TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo directly monitored the Gotong Royong Oxygen House health facility located in Pulo Gadung, East Jakarta, on July 24. He predicted that the facility will be ready to open in early August.
Referring to the official page of the President, the Oxygen House is a health facility initiated by the tech group GoTo along with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin Indonesia), and gas distributor PT Aneka Gas Industri (Samator Group) supported by steel company PT Master Steel, engineering company Tripatra Engineering, and healthcare platform Halodoc.
The semi-permanent health facility is equipped with oxygen supply equipment and can accommodate 500 Covid-19 patients developing moderate symptoms. The facility is established adjacent to the oxygen plant owned by PT Aneka Gas Industri. Each bed will have access to oxygen supplied directly from the factory.
The Gotong Royong Oxygen House is aimed at reducing the hospital burden in accommodating Covid-19 patients, as quoted from the official page of the Cabinet Secretariat.
