Kimia Farma Facilitates Private Covid-19 Vaccination for Astra Group Workers

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned pharmacy PT Kimia Farma assisted the implementation of the Gotong Royong or private Covid-19 vaccination program for workers of Astra Group. In this independent vaccination program, companies are responsible for paying the vaccine cost for workers and their families.
“Kimia Farma provides the best service in accordance with the SOP in implementing Gotong Royong vaccination throughout Indonesia,” said Kimia Farma President Director Verdi Budidarmo in a written statement in Jakarta, Thursday, May 19, 2021.
Verdi ensured that his side would provide similar services for other companies that have collaborated with Kimia Farma. This is to support the government’s goal to achieve herd immunity and protect people from Covid-19 so they could stay productive socially and economically.
Additionally, Kimia Farma prepared digital services to ensure that the private vaccination runs safely.
A total of 2,000 workers of Astra Group through PT Astra Otoparts and PT United Tractors received Covid-19 vaccines supported by Kimia Farma under the Gotong Royong or mutual cooperation scheme.
This initial program was part of the Covid-19 vaccination for more than 300,000 workers of Astra Group and their families throughout the archipelago based on the vaccine supplies coordinated by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin).
