East Nusa Tenggara Floods Update; 124 People Pronounced Dead

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) on April 7 reported that the death toll caused by the major flash flood in the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) had risen to 124.
“The latest data we logged found 124 lives had perished,” said BNPB spokesperson Raditya Jati on Wednesday, April 7.
The latest report stated that 67 out of the total casualties came from East Flores Regency, 28 from Lembata, 21 from Alor, 3 from Malaka, 2 from Sabu Raijua, 1 each from Kupang City, Ende, and Kupang Regency.
Meanwhile, the disaster mitigation agency field team said 74 people are still missing from Lembata, Alor, and East Flores after a devastating flash flood swept the NTT province on Sunday, April 4.
