TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Police suspected that the alleged terrorist who attacked the headquarters, ZA, hid the weapon in her clothes. The weapon passed the checkpoint at guard post 3, the entry and exit gate for the public.
"Maybe she hid it in her body part, either in the waist or somewhere. It is the fact that she escaped the security," said the police's Public Information Bureau Head Brigadier General Rusdi Hartono at his office, South Jakarta on Thursday, April 1, 2021.
The police, said Rusdi, are reviewing the security system that has been implemented to date. From the results of the audit, they will know which security area needs to be heightened.
"The security will surely be even better and we will continue to tighten awareness," said Rusdi.
Donning a veil and black dress, ZA entered and attacked members at the main guard post of the police headquarters on March 31, 2021, at around 16:30 local time. She opened six fires on the officers before finally falling down as officers shot her back.
The National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit said that ZA was a lone wolf attacker. From the temporary examination, it was revealed that she was a sympathizer of the ISIS terror group.
