TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Friday personally visited the mass Covid-19 vaccination in Bogor, West Java, that was held in the area of Puri Begawan.
“This place will see roughly 500 healthcare workers be vaccinated along with hajj pilgrims, religious figures, and public figures,” said the President in his acceptance speech on March 19.
During the visit, he openly said his hope that the vaccination in Bogor - a city in West Java with an estimated population of just over 1 million people - will accelerate the national vaccination goal. President Jokowi would often conduct a visit to major regions that are vaccinating its people for the past several days.
“We hope with many that are vaccinated, it will form a herd immunity that we wish would suppress the spread of Covid-19 in our country,” said Jokowi.
