Garuda Indonesia 'TGIF Discount' Offers Limited Affordable Airfares

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Flag carrier Garuda Indonesia is reportedly offering limited airfare discounts up to 60 percent for ticket purchases today on Friday, March 12, in a program dubbed the "Thank God it’s Friday."
“This program is our appreciation to Garuda Indonesia users by providing them with added values for flight tickets through passenger discounts and other means of promotions,” said Garuda Indonesia president director Irfan Setiaputra on March 12.
Apart from the 60 percent discount, Garuda Indonesia is also offering Rp500,000 discounts for airfares booked through certain banks that are official partners of Garuda, which will be available until June 30, 2021. To-be passengers keen on utilizing this limited offer must enter the promo code "TGIF" on either the GIA Mobile app or the official Garuda Indonesia website.
Tempo tested the promo code and found the discounts greatly reduced the price of a flight ticket. Take for example a flight booked from Jakarta-Banyuwangi, which is only priced starting from Rp690,000; Jakarta-Lombok flights starting from Rp790,000; Medan-Jakarta Rp990,000; and Yogyakarta-Makassar Rp990,000.
