Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Hospital Discharges 64,894 Recovered Patients

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital for COVID-19 discharged 64,894 patients that had made a recovery from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The total figure was collectively obtained since March 23, 2020, until March 6 this year.

"Some 4,340 confirmed positive patients are hospitalized at the hospital," Head of Information for the Joint Regional Defense Command (Kogabwilhan) I Colonel Marine Aris Mudian noted in a written statement on Saturday.

All hospitalized patients, comprising 2,183 men and 2,157 women, were treated in towers four, five, six, and seven. The total count has decreased by 132 people as compared to 4,472 individuals in the previous data.

On the basis of data, the hospital had registered a total of 70,012 patients since March 23, 2020, comprising 65,672 patients that were discharged, 692 patients referred to other hospitals, 64,894 patients that had recovered, while 86 patients had died in the facility.

Meanwhile, Kogabwilhan I also reported the condition of the COVID-19 patients at the Galang Island Special Hospital for Infection (RSKI) in Riau Islands.

The hospital had treated 242 hospitalized patients comprising 157 men and 85 women. Of the figure, 37 patients were confirmed positive, while 205 were suspected.

The figure reduced by 28, from the initial 270 patients. In general, the RSKI Pulau Galang recorded 8,784 patients that were treated by health personnel since April 12 last year until March 6 this year.

"Of that number, 42 people were referred to other hospitals and 4,775 COVID-19 patients had recovered, while the number of suspected and discharged reached 3,725 patients," he remarked.
