Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Hospital Discharges 50,710 Recovered Patients

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital for COVID-19 has, until now, discharged a total of 50,710 patients that had made a recovery from the coronavirus disease.

The total figure was collectively derived since March 23 last year until January 30 this year, the hospital's spokesman, Colonel Aris Mudian, stated here on Saturday.

"From March 23, 2020, to January 30, 2021, the total number of registered patients had reached 55,067, of which 50,710 have recovered," he noted.

The emergency hospital has, so far, referred 593 COVID-19 patients to other referral hospitals in Jakarta and recorded a death toll of 54 patients.

According to data on Saturday, the hospital had treated 3,710 patients comprising 1,930 men and 1,780 women. A day earlier, there were 3,670 patients.

Meanwhile, the Special Hospital for COVID-19 Infection on Galang Island, Riau Islands Province, was offering treatment to 131 patients that had tested positive for COVID-19. The number of patients increased by one from the previous day.

The Galang Island Hospital registered a total of 6,840 patients since April 12, 2020, comprising 4,442 patients that had recovered and 42 patients that were referred to other hospitals, while no patients had died in the facility.

Meanwhile, Indonesia had added 13,802 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday, bringing the tally to 1,051,795 cases. The country has, until now, recorded a total of 852,260 recoveries and 29,518 deaths.
