More Number of Covid-19 Patients Recorded in Wisma Atlet Hospital

TEMPO.CO, JakartaAs of 8 a.m. Thursday, November 19, 2020, 2,843 Covid-19 patients were being treated at the Wisma Atlet Emergency Hospital, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

The hospital spokesperson Col. Aris Mudian informed that patients developing mild and moderate symptoms were being treated in Tower 6 and 7, while those asymptomatic carriers were under isolation in Tower 4 and 5.

Aris explained the number of patients in the two categories increased when compared to yesterday’s data. There were 1,823 patients in Tower 6 and 7, comprising 895 men and 928 women. “It increases by 71 from previously 1,752 patients,” said Aris in a written statement today.

Meanwhile, there were 1,020 patients in the isolation venues of Tower 4 and 5, consisting of 536 men and 484 women. Compared with Wednesday’s data, that number rose by 95 people.

Since the athlete’s dormitory apartment was designed as an emergency hospital on March 23, 2020, there have been 25,829 patients. Of which, 452 patients were referred to other hospitals, 23,546 patients recovered, and 8 patients died.

Tower 4 and 5 of Wisma Atlet Hospital, however, have been operating since September 15, 2020, and have so far accommodated 14,159 Covid-19 asymptomatic carriers. According to Aris, 13,990 patients have recovered and 2 others were referred to other health facilities.
