TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo on Thursday attended the virtual 37th ASEAN Summit from the Bogor Presidential Palace, which sees Vietnam host the event.
One of the initiatives Indonesia proposes in this year’s ASEAN Summit is the collective attempt to commit to reopening the connectivity and economic recovery through the Asean Travel Corridor Arrangement (TCA).
This strategy is hoped to ease business people traveling between ASEAN countries in the slackened COVID-19 social restrictions and unite every leader of ASEAN countries which would help solve the pandemic in a structured manner and under a time schedule that is agreed collectively.
The ASEAN summit comprises 17 meeting sessions attended by 10 government bodies or heads of states from the region along with 8 heads of states from ASEAN partners.
