TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta administration on Tuesday granted a capacity increase for CGV Cinemas from 25 percent to 50 percent theater capacity. This technical approval was mentioned in the decree by the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Board on November 3.
Despite allowing more audiences, the decree asserts that strict COVID-19 health protocols must be met. This technical regulation is subjected to future review to determine whether the capacity increase will be extended or not.
Up to November 4, CGV Cinemas has opened four of its movie theaters located in Jakarta and plans to gradually open seven more.
The theaters that have been opened for public are: CGV Grand Indonesia, CGV AEON Mall Jakarta Garden City, CGV Transmart Cempaka Putih, and CGV Green Pramuka Mall.
