TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta deputy governor Ahmad Riza Patria on Thursday revealed that activities of the Jakarta people have mainly started to generate in the capital city’s surrounding areas after it imposed the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB).
The surrounding regions include Tangerang, Depok, Bogor, and Bekasi.
“There are movements of Jakarta residents in the city’s surrounding regions,” said the deputy governor in a voice message obtained from the city administration’s public communication division on October 1.
According to Ahmad Riza, the main driving reason for this is because people are looking to dodge the in-dining ban imposed by Jakarta’s PSBB and visit restaurants in the surrounding regions.
"There is an increase of activities in Jakarta’s surrounding regions where people have gone out to eat," said Riza, who also called for better synergy between regional administrations to prevent this from happening again in the future.
