14 Offices in East Jakarta Closed for Breaking Covid-19 Lockdown Protocols

24 September 2020 13:21 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of the East Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) Budhy Novian said that during the nine days of 'Operation Yustisi', 14 office areas violated health protocols. These companies are given a three-day closure punishment.

Budhy said most of the violators are non-essential companies located in business districts.

"Most of them are in Cakung and in Pulogadung. There are also some in Jatinegara, which is a sub-district, and also a business center," Budhy on said on Wednesday, September 23.

Most of the offices violated the rule on the maximum number of employees, which is limited to 25 percent of normal capacity.

Budhy said the Satpol PP will tighten supervision in office and business areas. He said that the East Jakarta Satpol PP, with the help of the police and the TNI, will continue to enforce lockdown rules.
