TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Agency announced that it had temporarily closed 129 offices or companies during the transitional large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) from June 5 to Thursday, September 10.
The agency’s head, Andri Yansah, said 111 firms had to be closed after confirmed COVID-19 cases were found, while 18 others were briefly closed due to violations of the health protocols.
“The closures lasted three days so they could be sterilized,” Andri said in a press release on September 11.
Moreover, the Manpower and Transmigration Agency also handed administrational sanctions in the form of first warnings to 389 companies and second warnings to 101 companies in Jakarta over numerous health protocol violations.
The 111 companies that were temporarily closed because of positive COVID-19 cases are spread across Central Jakarta up to South Jakarta, with the most cases found in Central Jakarta (34).
