TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Novel Baswedan, an investigator at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), was confirmed positive for Covid-19. He announced his swab test result through his Twitter account @nazaqistsha.
“Yesterday, all KPK investigators underwent a swab test because several investigators had already tested positive. Today I received the information that my result came back positive, while I feel healthy and have no symptoms,” Novel tweeted on Friday, August 28.
He informed that he was immediately carrying out independent isolation and asked for prayers for his healing.
Previously, the KPK reported that nine employees, four non-employee staff, and one detainee contracted the novel coronavirus disease. Ali revealed that the findings were obtained from the results of swab tests conducted by the Health Ministry’s Jakarta Environmental Health and Disease Control Center (BBTKLPP) on several employees and detainees of the anti-graft body.
As part of the contact tracing, the KPK conducted swab tests on all its employees, including investigators. To prevent further transmission, the KPK sprayed disinfectants at the Merah Putih Building and the Anti-Corruption Study Center.
