TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) opened the opportunity for millennials to become the chief executive officer (CEO) and chief financial officer (CFO) of Rumah BUMN or SOE House.
“Millennial CEOs and CFOs will lead SOE House in each province,” said the ministry’s special staffer for public communication, Arya Sinulingga, during the socialization event of the young CEO of SOE House in Jakarta, Tuesday, August 11.
The SOE House is expected to strengthen the SOE Creative House that aims to foster as well as increase the capacity and the capability of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
There are five new functions of the SOE House under the spirit of collaboration, namely to develop MSMEs, as the disaster response task force, as distributors of the Partnership and Environment Developmental Program (PKBL), as managers of coworking spaces and coffee shops, and as the millennial activity center.
The millennial generation would be given the chance to act as leaders of the SOE House. Arya mentioned three main reasons the youth are eager to work: to have new opportunities and career development, to have new experiences and cultures, and as part of learning and training.
The SOE House was designed to be led by millennials as a collaboration for the best young talents, career advancement, competency, and career enrichment. The program, Arya went on, was also designed to encourage the spirit of nationalism so as to enrich the loyalty of young professionals to work for Indonesia.
