TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD Jakarta) Speaker Prasetio Edi Marsudi announced on Tuesday the temporary closure of the Kebon Sirih legislation office from July 29 to August 2 after one legislator and a council secretariat employee had tested positive for COVID-19.
“In our attempt to break the chain of COVID-19 transmission and to abide by the health protocols, the DPRD Jakarta headquarters will be temporarily closed for further sterilization,” the speaker wrote in an official announcement today, July 28.
The announcement letter also states that the activities at the DPRD and DPRD Jakarta secretariat’s office will be stopped along with the office closure. Activities, he explained, will return to normal starting on Monday, August 3.
