TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto on Monday landed in India, following his working visit to Turkey on Wednesday last week.
The defense minister’s spokesperson Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak confirmed this on Tuesday, July 28. "He is in India to discuss the defense partnership between Indonesia and India."
Dahnil confirmed that Prabowo is on the way home and the visit to India marked the last of his state visits since last week.
On Wednesday, July 22, Prabowo Subianto met with Turkey’s president of defense industries Ismail Demir to continue previous talks.
However, Dahnil Anzar was reluctant to elaborate further on the substance of the meeting. “There were several important bilateral discussions in Turkey.”
“At the meeting, we exchanged views on cooperation and export issues in various fields, especially UAVs [unmanned aerial vehicles], marine and land vehicles,” Ismail Demir posted in Turkish on his official Twitter account, July 22.
