Meiloon Relocates Factory to Indonesia; Promises More Jobs

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Meiloon Technology Indonesia has started to construct its inaugural factory in West Java’s Subang district which they claim will be able to create thousands of job opportunities for local communities, provide technological transfer, and the economic effects for the Subang residents.
During the virtual groundbreaking event live from the Meiloon Industrial Co, Ltd main headquarters in Taiwan, the firm’s chief financial officer, Eva Kuo, called for everyone involved to work as a team. During the virtual event, Meiloon is eyeing to absorb roughly around 8,000 workers.
Meiloon Industrial Co Ltd is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the design, research, development, manufacture and distribution of audio and loudspeakers. Meiloon had surveyed several countries for the past two years and decided to relocate their factory from Suzhou, China, to Indonesia.
Moreover, Eva Kuo and Meiloon shareholders conveyed appreciation towards the Indonesian government upon the groundbreaking event and mentioned President Jokowi’s initiative for a simpler permit bureaucracy had worked.
Subang Regent Ruhimat said that the factory’s establishment gives hope for Subang residents and sparks hope for the local community to have a new source of economic growth.
