TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The West Jakarta Transmigration, Energy, and Manpower Office on Friday held a sudden inspection at the area’s office complex in an operation to assure that businesses abide by COVID-19 protocols imposed by the government.
The office’s head, Ahmad Yala, announced that the routine inspection involves teams comprising 3-4 people spread across 21 office areas on a daily basis in West Jakarta.
Based on the team’s report from June 30 to July 1, 2020, the health protocol inspection that had been done to 42 offices found that many of them still fail to comply with the health measures.
The failure of compliance includes the absence of tools that would enable an office security member to screen a person’s body temperature up to the unavailability of bicycle parking spaces. The two-day operation found only 9 offices had implemented the COVID-19 health protocols.
“The rest has not applied the proper health protocol,” said Ahmad in a written statement cited from barat.jakarta.go.id.
