Political Parties Plan Demos for Monday

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: Jakarta police reported four planned demos in Jakarta for Monday, the first was a protest by the Indonesia Maritime Watch at the Indonesia Police Force Headquarters in South Jakarta at 10 AM.

The next two protests will be held in separate times by two political parties at the National Election Commission in Central Jakarta. The first demo was by Republiku Party planned for 10 AM which will be continued to the National Police Headquarters. The second party to protest the election commission was the Indonesia Democratic Defender Party at 12 noon.

At 13:30 the Institute for Democracy and Legal Empowerment and the Society Against the Police Violence will stage a demo at the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout.

A group of people were also planned to socialize the compulsory Idul Fitri donation to the needy for moslems, ahead of the Idul Fitri Festivity, on Jalan Salemba Central Jakarta.
