TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Capital Investment and One-Stop Service Agency (PM-PTSP) has received 1,577 requests for the issuance of the city's Exit and Entry Permit (SIKM), a travel pass during the Covid-19 pandemic, as of Wednesday afternoon, May 20, the agency’s head Benni Aguscandra reported.
“As of 2:57 p.m. today, there are a total of 1,577 requests,” he confirmed. Of the figure, 877 applications were being processed, while 458 applications were rejected. Besides, 199 applications are still in the process of confirmation or validation.
According to Benny, the Jakarta provincial administration has managed to issue 43 permits. “The permit letter (SIKM) was emailed to the applicant,” Benni said.
He explained there are five stages of the permit issuance. People must first apply a proposal to be verified by officers. Should the request be granted, the applicant's guarantor must submit confirmation to the agency, then the city administration will send the permit through email.
The guarantor, he added, should be the applicant's superior or supervisor. For non-working permits, the applicant's guarantor should be the head of their respective community units or families.
As previously reported, Governor Anies Baswedan issued on May 14 a gubernatorial regulation No. 47/2020 on the restrictions of entering and exiting the capital city in an effort to prevent the spread of coronavirus or Covid-19. This policy bans residents from outside Jakarta Greater Area or Jabodetabek from entering and leaving Jakarta without SIKM.
