TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan states that COVID-19 emergency period in the capital is extended until April 19, from previously only until April 5.
“Meaning that the work from home and study at home policies will continue until the set time, as well as the closure of tourist destinations,” he said in an online conference on Saturday, March 28.
According to the Governer, this is done following the latest development of coronavirus cases in the capital that see 603 positive cases and 62 deaths. Of the positive cases, 61 are medical staffs.
In the press conference, Anies recalls on the Jakarta residents to stay in the city and not go on mudik or homecoming trip, especially those who are under monitoring for Covid-19. He reasoned that the people can get a better health facility in the capital even though it is still cannot be compared to the number of coronavirus cases.
