Jakarta Extends Students' Remote Learning Period until April 5

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Education Department extended the period of the students’ remote learning aimed at limiting the spread of the coronavirus until April 5, 2020. The policy was noted in circular letter No. 32/SE/2020 on home learning during the COVID-19 emergency status.
The first point of the circular letter stipulated the extension period of remote learning for students and teachers.
“Study at home policy during the COVID-19 emergency period is extended until April 5,” said Jakarta Education Agency Head Nahdiana as noted in the circular letter inked by herself on Tuesday, March 24.
The other points included the cancellation of the National Examination and the implementation of school examination, graduation requirements, and grade promotion that will be ruled in a certain technical instruction.
Heads of educational institutions are also demanded to submit the home learning report periodically through https://disdik.jakarta.go.id.
“This circular should be concerned to be carried out well and responsibly,” said Nahdiana in the letter in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
