7 Reasons Why You Should Avoid Packaged Food

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - No one can deny that instant food or packaged food is practical. Especially for modern people that are too lazy to buy raw food material and cook them manually.
We also rarely read the label and do not care about the ingredients. Instant food is certainly easy and quick to serve, but we often do not understand that the food contains artificial raw materials that sre bad for our body.
India Times gives seven reasons why we must reduce packaged food and choose healthy food instead:
1. High Sugar Content
It contains high-level sugar that is dangerous for our metabolism, it can cause diabetes, high cholesterol, heart disease, obesity and tooth decay.
2. Contain Trans Fat
They also contain trans fat in the form of hydrogenated fat. Trans fat can cause heart disease, stroke and heart attack, we should avoid that.
3. Lots of Additive
Additive always included in food packaging, starting from the flavor, pigment stuff and aroma enhancer. If we consume it too much, it could endanger our health.
4. No Natural Ingredients
There is no natural ingredient inside those practical food packages.
5. High Carbohydrates
The bread that we buy in the market have high carbohydrates so it can increase insulin and blood sugar that also can cause heart disease.
6. Contain Dangerous Bacteria
We can get instant packaging salad easily in the market. But beware, there are so many bacteria inside them and can cause stomachache or diarrhea.
7. Low in Dietary Fiber
Dietary fiber can only be obtained from plant-based food. Instant food rarely have plant-based food inside them and almost no dietary fiber. Although in the beginning there is an ingredient that contains dietary fiber in the packages, in the end, that fiber is gone when we cook it.
