TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Chief commissioner of state oil and gas firm Pertamina, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (BTP) or known as Ahok, responded to questions about reasons behind the opening of the public access to the company’s operational data.
“I have just helped the CEO [of Pertamina],” said BTP shortly via a short message to Tempo on Thursday, February 14, suggesting to ask the CEO for more details of the data transparency.
The former governor of Jakarta announced on Wednesday, February 12, through his Twitter account, that the public could now obtain data on Pertamina’s operations via its page www.pertamina.com.
“Starting today, the information access to Pertamina’s operations regarding the procurement of crude oil, LPG, and fuel, as well as status of charter boats can be viewed through the company’s official website,” said BTP.
Ahok said for further information, people could call Pertamina’s contact center at 135. “With data transparency, we hope to get the best inputs and recommendations from the public.”
