TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Central Jakarta Metro Resort Police will prepare special security measure for the Jakarta flood protest and Anies Baswedan escort act at the Jakarta City Hall on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
"We will prepare the security measure. Tonight, we will prepare the personnel," said Central Jakarta Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Police Heru Novianto when contacted, in Jakarta, Monday, January 13, 2020.
Separately, the Head of Central Jakarta Metro Police Ops, Kompol Wiraga, said that his party had deployed 300 personnel to secure the protest against Anies Baswedan.
Politician Dewi Tanjung was the one who demanded Anies Baswedan to resign as the Governor of Jakarta. "We send 300 personnel and we still don't know yet if there will be an addition from the regional police, but we assure that they are more than the mass," said Wiraga.
Wiraga also stated that the protest is expected to take place at 14:00 until 17:00.
The participants are expected to wear black-colored clothes in the event that has been planned since last week. However, apparently, there are two other acts that support Anies Baswedan in order to remain leading Jakarta through the act of Bela Anies and the community Bang Japar which its participants planned to wear white-colored clothes.
