TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned toll road operator Jasa Marga has returned to impose the normal tariff of Jakarta Inner Ring Road starting today, January 3, 2020. The policy was imposed after the Jasa Marga and the State-Owned Enterprises Ministry set the free price as compensation for flooding.
"The normal tariff applies for Cawang - Grogol - Tomang toll road operated by Jasa Marga," said Jasa Marga President Director Desi Arryani on Friday, January 3, 2020.
Desi explained that the toll road has been operating normally, and the toll gates have been reopened following the recent route diversion due to flooding.
To anticipate future disaster, Desi said that Jasa Marga has prepared water pumps and sandbags and ensured that the drainage system along the toll road runs properly, especially on flood-prone locations.
In addition to toll roads operated by Jasa Marga, the normal tariff is also applied to highways managed by PT Citra Marga Nusaphala Persada, namely Cawang - Tanjung Priok - Ancol Timur - Jembatan Tiga - Pluit toll road.
The Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Danang Parikesit, said in a statement that the city's inner ring road has already been opened for public.
"Starting 12 p.m., the tariff for the inner-city toll road returns to normal. We have coordinated with the Toll Road Business Entity (BUJT) to remain alert for high-intensity rainfall," Danang added.
