18 Out of 26 Dead Victims of Sriwijaya Bus Accident Identified

TEMPO.CO, JakartaAs many as 18 of 26 people killed in a deadly accident of Sriwijaya bus heading to Palembang from Bengkulu in Liku Lematang, Pagaralam city have been identified. 

Based on the hospital’s announcement on Tuesday, at 12:50 p.m., 16 of the victims are male and the rest 10 are female.

The following is the list of dead victims who have been identified:

  1. Kelvin Andeka (16) male, resident of Kepahiyang Village, Bengkulu
  2. Fadhil (10)male, resident of Maryo Mulyo Village, Pondok Kota, Bengkulu Tengah
  3. Feri Efrizal (34) male/bus driver, resident of Sako Kenten, Palembang
  4. Ulul, female, resident of Perajen Kecamatan Banyuasin I, Sumsel
  5. Ayu Intan (9) female, resident of Traman Jaya Muko-muko Bengkulu
  6. Efran Fadhil Akbar, male, resident of Kepahiyang Bengkulu
  7. M. Ikbal Prabowo, male, resident of Perajen Kecamatan Banyuasin I, Sumsel
  8. Metriani Andeka, male, resident of Kepahiyang Bengkulu
  9. Ali Jaya (53) male, resident of Gandaria, Bengkulu
  10. Ilyas (69) male, resident of Palembang
  11. Jimmu Yuda Sanjaya, male, resident of Empat Lawang, Sumsel
  12. Warsono (62) male, resident of Banyuasin
  13. Imron (59) male, resident of Kelurahan Pasar, Bengkulu
  14. Rosita (50) female, resident of Jalan Sriwijaya
  15. Feri (48) male, resident of Batu Samban, Bengkulu
  16. Yasiroh, female, address unknown
  17. Farel (child) male, address unknown
  18. Nur PH, female, address unknown

The rest 8 dead victims were still being identified. Meanwhile, a total of 13 people are survived. 

Pagalaram Resort Police Chief AKBP Dolly Gumara said his side was still searching for victims, considering the bus that fell off the cliff from a height of 150 meters boarded stowaways.

“The bus from Bengkulu boarded 27 passengers, but throughout the trip, the driver also took passengers from the road,” said Dolly.

The joint search and rescue team was combing through the Lematang River flow to a radius of 500 meters with the help of local people who acknowledged the rocky areas.

As reported earlier, Sriwijaya bus type Mitsubishi Fuso with a plate number BD 7031 AU and the route of Bengkulu-Palembang veered off a cliff at Liku Lematang on Pagaralam-Lahat KM 9 Plang Kenidai Village, Dempo Tengah District of Pagaralam city on late Monday at 11:15 p.m.
