TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Ridwan Kamil offers investment opportunities worth US$60 billion or Rp845 trillion. The Governor of West Java made the statement during the U.S.-Indonesia Investment Summit forum held in Jakarta, Thursday, November 21.
"As per today, most of the investors in West Java are still Asian countries, East Asia in particular. So, it lacks balance," Ridwan said in his written statement, Thursday.
Ridwan said investors from the United States are currently more interested in central government projects. However, they can actually seek investment opportunities through provincial governments.
"Often, U.S. investors only look at central government projects. I'm here to educate that there are two doors to investments — the central government and the provincial government," he said.
On the same occasion, he offered two ways to invest in West Java through a business-to-business (B2B) scheme or public-private partnership.
Today, American businesses' investments in West Java amount to Rp4 trillion.
