Jokowi Introduces 12 Deputy Ministers of Indonesia Onward Cabinet

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has officially introduced 12 deputy ministers of the Indonesia Onward Cabinet for the period of 2019-2024 today, October 25. He made the announcement in the same way he announced his second-term cabinet ministers.
On Wednesday, October 23, Joko Widodo released the line-up of the new ministers while sitting on the stairs outside the palace as a symbol of humbleness and transparency of his cabinet, while today’s announcement was held on the stairs inside the palace.
President Jokowi and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin sat on the stairs heading to the Oval Room, while the deputy ministers sat beside them.
“I’d like to introduce the deputy ministers whom we have chosen, whom I have met personally. In my opinion, they have great profiles to cement the Indonesia Onward Cabinet,” said the President.
Following is the list of the deputy ministers:
- Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mahendra Siregar;
- Deputy Minister of Defense Sakti Trenggono;
- Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Zainut Tauhid;
- Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara;
- Deputy Minister of Public Works and Housing Wempi Wetipo;
- Deputy Minister of Environment and Forestry Alue Dohong;
- Deputy Minister of Trade Jerry Sambuaga;
- Deputy Minister of Village, Underdeveloped Regions, and Transmigration Budi Arie Setiadi;
- Deputy Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning Surya Tjandra;
- Deputy Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Angela Tanoesoedibjo;
- Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Budi Gunadi Sadikin;
- Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Kartika Wirjoatmodjo.
