Police Reveal 24 Suspected Terrorists Arrested Since Last Month

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The National Police's anti-terror special detachment Densus 88 have nabbed suspected terrorists from September 23 until October 11.

Dozens of suspected terrorists were arrested in eight different locations, namely in Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Yogyakarta, Central Java, Bali, Central Sulawesi, and North Sulawesi.

"Two people, namely Mohammad Arsad dan Taufik Hidayat were arrested in Jakarta. Eight people were nabbed in West Java, they are Sandi Purnama alias Abu Said, Fazri Pahlawan alias Abu Zee, Igun Gunawan alias Gunawan, Surya Juniawan alias Haidar Al Ghazi, Awal Septo Hadi alias Ummu Alisha, Asep Roni, Doni alias Syuhada bin Daiman, and Sutiyah," said the police chief of public information bureau Brig. Gen. Dedi Prasetyo to Tempo on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Then, three were arrested in Yogyakarta, namely Nesti Ode Samili - who was former police officer, Galang Jiwa Pradana, and Rini Ilyas.

In Central Java, Dedi said there was only one nabbed by the police, Wawan Wicaksono. Meanwhile, in Central Sulawesi, there were Mohammad Rifai, Amryadhy alias Adhy, Andiyanto alias Anto, Wardi, Irham alias Aco.

In Banten, the police nabbed Syahrial Alamsyah alias Abu Rara, the stabber of Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Wiranto, who conducted the act with his wife Fitri Diana.

The police, Dedi said, arrested Achmad Taufikurrahman and Zaid Ali Ibrahim in Bali. "In North Sulawesi, we nabbed Samsudin alias Jack Sparrow," he said.
