E-commerce Platforms Race to Offer Discounts Ahead of Harbolnas

10 October 2019 08:14 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A number of e-commerce platforms are already boosting sales by offering promo prices and discounts despite still being at a distance from the national shopping day (Harbolnas) on December 12 and is commonly known by its acronym “12.12.”

Senior Media Relations Manager JD.ID Adhi Pratama stated that his e-commerce platform has already offered discounts since October 8, and held a shopping marathon for 100 days held from September 9 to December 12.

“We are eyeing on 100 percent growth compared to last year,” he said.

Meanwhile, Blibli.com public relations head Yolanda Nainggolan said that the last three months were used by Blibli to offer discounts, vouchers, up to cashback promotions.

Last year’s Blibli Histeria saw a spike in consumers up to 35 times of the total average. Promos and discount deals are also being offered by other e-commerces such as Shoppee and Pegi Pegi.
