IDX: Lion Air Set to Go Public Next Week

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) announced that PT Lion Mentari Tbk, operating air carrier Lion Air, is set to go public as early as next week.
IDX assessment director I Gede Nyoman Yetna Setya announced that the airliner is set to hold a mini expose next week for its initial public offering (IPO).
“Lion will hold a mini expose next week. There will be a considerable amount [in the future] sequentially with 30 IPO pipelines, there will be a large number of mini expose,” said Nyoman today, Oct. 9.
He hopes those entering IDX’s pipeline will provide thorough information to accelerate the IPO procedure.
As of Wednesday, there are 40 issuers the IDX recorded with the addition of PT Trinitan Metals and Minerals Tbk. The number of issuers will reach a historic high position with 70 firms in 2019 if the 30 firms in the pipeline realize its IPO this year.
In addition, Nyoman said five other firms have committed to submit their documents for IPO in the fourth quarter this year, expecting to reach the target set earlier this year of 75 new firms enlisted in the IDX.
