Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte Visits President Jokowi at Bogor

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo, who’s also known simply as Jokowi, accepted the visit of the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte at the West Javan, Bogor Presidential Palace today on Monday, October 7.
Rutte arrived at around 11:00 Indonesia Western Time (WIB) at the Bogor Palace front yard wearing a long-sleeve Batik outfit. He was greeted by dozens of children wearing traditional Indonesian outfits while holding the flag of the Netherlands and Indonesia.
Before the bilateral meeting, the group made a brief tour around the palace and invited Mark Rutte to plant a tree at the palace’s lawn.
The bilateral meeting was attended by a number of state ministers such as the Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi, Public Works and Housing Minister Basuki Hadimuljono, Secretary of State Pratikno, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, and the Head of the National Terrorism Mitigation Agency Suhardi Alius.
Mark Rutte’s arrival in Indonesia is part of his Southeast Asian and Pacific visits before heading to New Zealand and Australia. During his visit to Indonesia, the Dutch Prime Minister will meet entrepreneurs, students, academics, and Dutch university alumnus in Jakarta.
