Kemenpora Runs 5K Competition Set for November 10

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Kemenpora Run 5K event will be held again on November 10, 2019 to support the Indonesian contingent competing for the SEA Games 2019 in the Philippines.
"The 5 Kilometer running competition is a form of encouragement and support [Indonesian] athletes, especially athletic athletes who will compete in the SEA Games 2019," said Chief Committee of the Menpora Cup 2019 Maria Lawalata on Friday, October 4, 2019.
Maria, who is a former national marathoner, successfully held the Menpora Cup U-16 Big Starts Football Tournament on May 2019 before the Asian Games 2018. This year, Maria choose athletic to be competed.
The Menpora Cup 2019 Committee hoped to enlist 2,000 participants for the running competition, which will be held around the Bung Karno Main Stadium area. A number of former athletic athletes is also predicted to join in the competition.
The competition will be divided into a number of categories, namely the national runner, which will compete for first, second, and third position; and the community category, which will be divided in to two age categories, below 40-years old and over 40-years old.
Registration for the competition is open through www.pialakemenpora.com until November 7. 2019.
