Ani Yudhoyono's 40th Day Memorial to be Held Tonight in Cikeas

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The family of the sixth President of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) will commemorate the 40th day of Kristiani Herawati or Ani Yudhoyono's passing at the family residence in Pendopo Puri Cikeas Indah, Bogor, this evening, Wednesday, July 10.
The late first lady passed away after battling blood cancer since February at National University Hospital, Singapore, on Saturday, June 1. She was 67 years old.
Ani Yudhoyono was buried at the Kalibata National Heroes Cemetery, South Jakarta on Sunday the next day.
"The 40th day memorial event for Ibu Ani will start at 19.30 to 21.00 WIB," said the AHY Foundation head, Ni Luh Putu Caosa Indryani, in a written statement on Tuesday, July 9.
Earlier reports suggested that Democratic Party led by SBY will determine the party’s position whether joining the government coalition or opposition after the 40th-day memorial event, as stated by the party secretary-general Hinca Panjaitan when met at the KPU office, Jakarta, Sunday, June 31.
