SBY Holds Prayers Event for Late Wife

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's (SBY) family, last night, commemorated the 7th day of his late wife's Kristiani Herrawati or Ani Yudhoyono's passing. The event, which consists of prayers for the deceased, is held at the family residence in Cikeas, Bogor, West Java.
"It starts at seven-thirty," Democrat Party official Ferdinand Hutahaean said on Friday, June 7.
The former first lady died last Saturday on June 1 at Singapore's National University Hospital. Since February, she had been battling blood cancer. She was 67 years old.
Ani Yudhoyono was buried on Sunday the next day at the Kalibata National Heroes Cemetery, South Jakarta.
In the morning, SBY visited the grave with his mother-in-law. His two sons also accompanied the 6th president of Indonesia.
