TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - State airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II starts operating Airport Digital Lounge at Terminal 1 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport as one of the facilities to support the homecoming season this year.
"Our focus is to serve the public with the set facilities, especially during the peak of Eid al-Fitr (lebaran) holiday season," he said Thursday, May 9.
Airport Digital Lounge at Terminal 1 B is the third one in Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Airport Digital Lounge Terminal 3 and Terminal 2 have started their operation earlier.
Awaluddin said his office maintains to develop the digital facility as it is in line with the transformation of Soekarno-Hatta in becoming a digital-based modern airport.
"It's a completely different concept. That is because the airport shows the state's reputation," he said.
Airport Digital Lounge is a digital-based integrated information center at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport. It comprises digital instruments with a high-technology computerized system.
Through big monitors placed in the 4 × 3-meter room, airport customers can access information service, chat with a virtual assistant, use coworking space, digital wayfinding and visit official airport merchandise store.
The digital lounge is also facilitated with a smart robot named DILO that has a multimedia feature such as music, video, and document.
Awaluddin deems the digitize information in an airport crucial since the customers today wish to access various information about the airport and flights easily.
