TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian parliament is expected to be solid with the government if Jokowi is named president in the 2019 presidential election vote recapitulation, considering the number of parliament seats will likely be secured by legislators joined in the “Indonesia working coalition” that is namely pro-Jokowi.
The manual tiered recapitulation process that is done by the Jokowi – Ma’ruf Amin national campaign team (TKN) claims that their political party coalition members will at least secure 349 seats or 60.7 percent in parliament.
TKN secretary Hasto Kristiyanto said that this will further strengthen the presidential system, considering if the incumbent could once again retake position as the state leader for the 2019-2024 period.

Based on this prediction, Hasto says that the coalition will be able to easily deny negative issues voiced by a number of groups that he said are trying to coax members of the public.
The TKN internal recapitulation shows their candidates still leading the temporary vote count by 18.5 million over Prabowo Subianto – Sandiaga Uno.
Meanwhile, the 2019 vote count information system (Situng) by the General Elections Commission (KPU) sees the incumbent collecting 42,877,773 votes while Prabowo gained 33,415,845 votes. This vote recapitulation is based on the 49.91 percent of total votes collected.
