TEMPO.CO, BadungBali's Ngurah Rai International Airport on Friday, April 19, was on fire and 19 domestic flights were delayed.

"As many as 19 domestic flights were delayed," said the General Manager of state airport operator Angkasa Pura I (AP I), Haruman Sulaksono in Badung, late Friday, April 19.

He said that AP I should temporarily close the operational service of domestic departure terminal at Ngurah Rai Airport post the fire since the smoke on the second floor affecting the breathing.

The stranded passengers of the domestic flights were directed to the international terminal through the connecting corridor that is usually used for connecting transit passengers from domestic to international terminal.

"Until 21:45 local time, 10 of the 19 delayed flights have been departed," he said. Due to the incident, it was expected that some 2,000 passengers were affected.

Haruman said his office targetted to reoperate the domestic terminal of Ngurah Rai Airport on Saturday morning.
