TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - British Embassy’s Head of Media and Communication John Nickell expressed his appreciation toward Indonesia elections 2019 and deemed it “Fantastic” as he took the role as an international observer in the Kebon Kosong, Kemayoran polling station (TPS) today.
John said he had observed two polling stations prior to his arrival at the Kebon Kosong TPS. He said that he was impressed by how the elections have progressed and mentioned about the friendly people he met and that’s a positive effect on democracy.
He also saw that Indonesians showed great enthusiasm toward the election and was thankful for the opportunity given to him. John said that Indonesia’s election is more complex compared to what is adopted by his home country.
The polling station at Cipinang Correctional Facility was visited by hundreds of international observers representing numerous countries and international non-governmental organizations.
