Jokowi Boards MRT Jakarta; People Flock Lebak Bulus Station

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi tried boarding the first Indonesian MRT Jakarta or Ratangga today, March 19. Jokowi was accompanied by his working cabinet members and Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.
Hundreds of people waited for the President at MRT Lebak Bulus Station, South Jakarta, crowding the area with their phones ready to capture Jokowi.
Based on Tempo observation, Anies and Cabinet Secretary served the public who willing to take a photo while waiting for the presence of the President.

The crowd cheered loudly as Jokowi arrived at the last step where Anies and ministers stood. People also flocked MRT Jakarta trains. They were determined to seize an opportunity to board the newly-built train with the President.
The working cabinet ministers were Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Puan Maharani, Home Affairs Minister Tjahjo Kumolo, Informatics and Communication Minister Rudiantara, and the Agrarian and Spatial Planning Minister Sofyan Djalil.
President Jokowi and the entourage boarded MRT Jakarta from Bundaran HI Station at around 11:50 a.m. and arrived at Lebak Bulus Station at 12:32 p.m.
