East Luwu Hit by 5.0-Magnitude Earthquake This Morning, says BMKG

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - East Luwu in South Sulawesi was just hit by a 5.0-magnitude earthquake on early dawn of Tuesday.
The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that the earthquake rocked the region between 01:13 western Indonesia time (WIB) and 02:13 WIB.

Through its Twitter account, BMKG announced that the quake’s epicenter was a mere 30 kilometers Northeast off the coast of East Luwu. The earthquake’s hypocenter was recorded at the depth of 10-kilometers.
According to BMKG, the earthquake was also felt at areas in the vicinity of East Luwu such as Soroako. Fortunately, official reports predict that the earthquake will not potentially trigger a tsunami and there has yet been reports of casualties up to the publication of this news.
